Online Scheduler for Business Hazardous Waste Disposal

Important: If you have more than three waste types, more than 10 gallons of any single type of waste, or more than five boxes of fluorescent tubes, do not use this online scheduler. Instead, please email your business Application and the Inventory Form to HazMatAll@bouldercounty.org.

Our preferred method of payment at the time of delievery is credit card, but we can also accept cash or in-state company check at the time of disposal (note that our credit card company adds a small convenience fee if paying be credit card). If one of these payment methods won’t work for you please contact us at 720-564-2251 prior to scheduling your appointment to be set up as a customer in our financial system (requires a W9 from your company and must be completed before we schedule your appointment).

Schedule appointments for hazardous waste disposal at the Hazardous Materials Management Facility (HMMF) from businesses that are classified by the State of Colorado as “very small quantity generators” (VSQGs).

Business waste is accepted on Tuesdays (by appointment).

Before scheduling an appointment complete these steps:

  1. Review the Boulder County HMMF website to confirm that you are a VSQG.

  2. Complete a business application found in the Forms section of the Boulder County HMMF website.

  3. Complete an inventory form.

  1. VSQG Inventory Form for Businesses or
VSQG Inventory Form for Local Government HMM Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) Partners.
  2. Identify and list the EPA Waste Code for each line item of hazardous waste on the inventory form.
  3. Estimate the number of pounds (including the container) for each waste type. Calculate the total number of feet for fluorescent tubes.
  1. Be prepared to provide safety data sheets (SDS) and/or photos if requested.

  2. Ensure all materials are in 5-gallon containers or smaller and that battery terminals are taped with CLEAR tape per the battery taping guide.

Boulder County reserves the right to refuse any VSQG waste, including waste that is not properly segregated, packaged, labeled, or represented by your company.

Call 720-564-2251 for any questions and to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
